2022 Summer Solstice Social, and Submission Window Open for Solstice Writing Contest

Dear Enchanted Friends:

The Summer Solstice Social on Zoom is at 7 p.m., EST on June 20. We’ve got lots of fun things planned, and you’ll all be encouraged to share a little something you’ve written about the Summer Solstice or a story or poem about summer by someone else. We’ll keep the length at 3 minutes and under for each person.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up for the social. This can mean anything: Facepaint, Summer Solstice jewelry, a flower crown, a Summer Solstice T Shirt, a gorgeous “solstice-y” setting in your Zoom room, a solstice witch hat—you name it. At the end of the social, I’ll draw a winner from the names of everyone who has dressed up. The prize will be a solstice social themed t-shirt. There will be other three giveaways too! But you must be there to win.

Most important of all, I’ll be making a very exciting announcement about EC and its future. People who aren’t there, won’t get to find out for quite awhile.

Only Patreon patrons are eligible for this event. Patrons at ALL levels are welcome. To learn more about becoming a Patreon patron, here you go.

One more important thing:

The Summer Solstice writing contest submission window has opened and will run until June 13 at 11:59 p.m., EST. This opportunity has barely been promoted, so those who submit have a good shot.

Yours in Enchantment,

PS: Amanda Bergloff, Art Director and Contributing Editor, designed the gorgeous image above, which is based off of Edward Robert Hughes’ “Midsummer Eve.” It will be on all of the swag given away at the June 20 Social.

Pardon, but as this was published on the tenth, I assume the submission window is until the 13th at 11:59 pm?
