The Spring Equinox Issue: Table of Contents

Welcome to EC's
Spring Equinox Issue!

That is one good thing about this world...

There are always sure to be more springs.

-- L.M. Montgomery

The equinox occurs twice a year (in March and September) and is the time when the length of day and night is nearly equal in all parts of the world,

March 20 marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and spring to us is a time of new growth and transformation. With the beauty of the earlier dawns and later sunsets, it's a time to let your renewed creative spirit shine.

We hope you'll enjoy this selection of tales, art, and music, along with a custom "Spring Equinox Meditation" with a fairy tale twist created by EC;s own, Kate Wolford, to celebrate this most enchanting time of year!

Celebrating spring with
quotes, art, tales & folklore...
I found you nestled within the golden leaves,
a tiny baby, no larger than my finger...
Welcome spring with this guided meditation
with a fairy tale twist from Kate...
Raindrop was pleased with her riddles:
"How can you see into forever with
no beginning or end?"...
from EC's Archives
"Are you an elemental?"
"I am wind and cloud..."
There are two types of stories
about fairyland. Ones where the traveler
returns, and then there are the other ones...
The girl's happy childhood came to
an end when the muroyi declared,
"As payment, I shall take the daughter..."
She would always love Ronan,
but Ondine wondered why she could
never see him in his human form...
Sharing one of our magical favorites
to accompany this issue that evokes the feeling of spring to us.
