Help Promote Enchanted Conversation

EC fills a spot for writers and fairy tale enthusiasts that I think is unique. It’s a place for magical imaginations to flower and a place for art and ideas, and it is a place that is completely free. No writer has to pay to submit a story or essay, and there is no cost to access the site.

This site was very early to the online fairy tale game. Over the course of 13 years (nine and a half at this address), EC has published dozens of first-time authors, stories, poems, researched posts, and thousands of gorgeous images. Enchanted Conversation has had millions of visits, too.

I do this alone. It’s just my own time and with my own money. I started EC as a spot for college students to enjoy when teaching my fairy tales classes. It evolved into much more, and after thousands of hours of solo work (and a lot of help from wonderful Amanda Bergloff, who ran the site for two years), EC is still alive and kicking.

But it can’t be such a lonely enterprise anymore, and I need your help. (It also can’t be such a money suck anymore, but for now, let’s mostly concentrate on how you can pitch in for EC promotion-wise.)

Here’s how you can increase your involvement and enjoyment of EC with a very low investment:

First, you can follow EC on Twitter or Facebook. Just look for EnchantedConvo on Facebook and Twitter. Or, make sure you are on the full website and find how to subscribe for email updates for each post. Just look for “Subscribe for Free” on the right hand side. Just do it once and you’re done.

Next, please comment on the stories, essays and other posts here on Enchanted Conversation. It really helps to know that you actually interact with the site. Comments mean a lot to me.

Please, please, please, share posts you like on social media. And if you’d like, email me from time to time  at with info on how you’ve promoted essays and stories.

If you’ve read and liked my anthologies with World Weaver Press, please let people know. Please give them a review (that you feel is honest) on Amazon, Goodreads, B&N, etc. Encourage other readers to buy them.

My author page at Amazon is HERE. I’m especially promoting Skull and Pestle: New Tales of Baba Yaga. It’s a great collection and I wasn’t able to promote it as I wanted to when it came out in 2019.

If you’re not an Amazon person, please go to World Weaver Press and see the buying options not only for my anthologies, but for the many fabulous speculative fiction books at WWP. To find all of my anthologies on one page at WWP, just go HERE, and scroll to the bottom of the page. I’m there!

That’s all for now, but please do help me spread the word!
