Beautiful, but Unknown

Anyone know who created this? Love it! I think it may be about "The 12 Swans," but  am unsure.
Update, Ink Gypsy explained everything nicely in her comment. Here it is:
"This is by Nadezhda Illarionova - an amazing female Russian illustrator I often confuse with another Russian male fairy tale illustrator, Gennady Spirin. This is from The Wild Swans by HCA. You can see a WHOLE lot more here (be prepared to fall in love!): http://cizgilimasallar.blogspot.com/2012/10/nadezhda-illarionova-fairy-tales-hans.html

  2. this picture reminds me of a book I read it's called the swan maiden it's about this girl and her three sisters who have magical powers and can transform into a swan so long as they have the swan skin they were born with. However their mother made a deal with their father that at least one of her daughters would learn to become the lady of the house and take care of the estate after they were gone so she hides her youngest daughters skin so that she won't be able to learn magic from her aunt, who is also a swan maiden. It's a really good book you should try reading it sometime.
