Why Does EC Look Different?

Today, I received what was another email from someone who was nicely telling me that EC was too busy and too hard to load. We loved its look, but with Blogger as a platform, it was not working well. Plus, Google has been making app changes, and we didn't want to make things harder than they already are. I had had a plain template planned just in case and today, I made the change to the simplest template I could find.

This look is much plainer, but we think it will be easier to load. We will likely tinker with the colors, etc., but the simple look is here to stay.

The stories and poems are what matters here. We want to do what it take to help them shine!

PS: The image is by Adrienne Segur. It's "The Owl and the Pussycat."

  1. I hadn't noticed any changed because I read Enchanted Conversation through a feed reader, and I must say I appreciate that you don't make people using readers have to click through to the site to read the articles in full, as a lot of sites do these days in order to get more ad revenue.

  4. I also love the new look. It is easier to read. Also, for the past week, the old one would do this funny blinking thing every few times I'd view it.

  10. I think the minimalist look has a nice feel to it! It lets the content and all the great illustrations you use really shine.
