Final Tips For Submitting -- Window Opens Tonight at 12 A.M., EST

At last! The window is opening for "Rumpelstiltskin" submissions. It opens at 12 a.m., EST, Feb. 21, and closes at 11:59 p.m., EST, Feb. 24.

Notes: All submissions will be read. We will not explain why we have rejected a submission.
To qualify for consideration, you must meet theme, length and submission format guidelines, and your submission must include your Paypal address, a two-sentence bio, and you must be a follower of EC. Click the Google  Follower bar at left and follow directions.

We are planning on publishing on March 20, so you will know if your submission has been chosen before then. If you do not check your email and do not reply to a publication offer in timely fashion, the offer will be withdrawn. We plan on publishing only 10 pieces.

But ... there will be contests! So keep coming back and bring friends.

  2. I'm sorry if I missed this in the guidelines, but does Enchanted Conversation accept multiple submissions (more than one sub from an author)? -- debs

  3. Debs! I've been trying to find a way to stalk you since Zombonauts. I'll be posting on your blog in about three minutes.

  4. Deborah, I had the same question. :) The answer I got back is that they'll accept multiple submissions, but chances of both being accepted are very slim.

  6. It's late now, but I assumed multiples were ok... and submitted 1 poem, plus 7 prose entries from multiple perspectives:
2 from the supernatural Rumpelstiltskin; 1 from Papa @ AA; 1 from the "greedy" king (every picture tells a story, doesn't it?); 1 from the female, (as triumphant victim, naturally); plus, a surprise perspective I don't think you'll find anywhere else. R.Way Ford

  7. I was wondering if there was a response email sent out, one just saying that the submission was received. I did not get one, so I was curious if there was one or not.

I did receive a reply. Briefly worded. More like 'this meets our requirements to be considered' rather than a straight 'we got this.'

But there are 150 to go through. Give it a little more time before you panic.

edited to add: Check your spam :-)
